With Tokio Hotel in Madrid!

"Our life is like going camping"

On October 5th the new Tokio Hotel album "Humanoid" finally came to light. I'm sure you've already listened to it a thousand times, right? The best thing of all is that days prior to the anticipated launch Bill, Tom, Georg and Gustav came to Spain to present it...want to know what they said?

First page with Tom on it.

Hello boys! How are you? Nervous for the launch of the new single and to see what the fans response will be?

Bill: Yes, but that happen with any band before they come out with a new album

Tom: We've been preparing Humanoid for a year now and we really want to launch it.

Why did you call it Humanoid? It's very original!

Bill: we've always felt a bit like humanoids, since we were very young that reflects on the album.

What are the differences between this album and the ones before?

Bill: The goal was to have a different sound and for the first time we were able to sit down and write songs and take our time with it. With the others we were unable to do that because we were on tour and in place or another.

Humanoid has Sci-Fi influences what is it that most attracts you to this genre?

Tom: We didn't think to do anything with Science Fiction, we weren't even clear on what it was. We worked on the album without knowing to what point we were mixing it. There may have been similarities but it was not specifically planned.

This is on top of the second row of questions and the blurbs are just quotes from the interview.

Your looks are a bit different from what we are used to, are you in a time of change?

Bill: We were a bit tired of the previous album, the style and everything. We were bored with ourselves! Its clear that coming out with new disco graphic work also motivates you to change your look, but its been a personal decision.

You have a very cool official website and Tom has a personal blog, do you tend to connect yourselves with the internet? Do you use social sites?

Tom: Correct I have a blog and am the one who uses the internet the most out of all of us. But in general we are not in the habit of using social sites and I don't think we will. We manage two or three sites that are fundamental, we check our emails, but for everything else we check on www.Tokiohotel.com (I think that's what it says because its really blurry and I can't make it out)

The blurb in the red circle by the Humanoid CD

Third studio album for the band is available in German and English. "This time we did it as it came to us on the previous one we did it in German and then translated it later, but not anymore", says Bill. ( I think that's what it says very blurry to read)

Second page with Bill on it.

What would you never leave out of your suitcase before going on tour: the makeup, the outfits or the condoms?

Tom: The condoms! We take a suitcase full! (laughs)

Bill: In my case I take about ten suitcases with me filled with the necessities everything from DVDs to computers (I think that's what the word means must be their slang) its like taking your home with you because our lives are like going camping. We are prepared for all kinds of situations.

Is it complicated to have a romantic relationship with the kind of life you lead?

Bill: Yes, the only one has a a girlfriend is Georg. Since Tokio Hotel started its been very difficult and some of us have not even fallen in love.

Tom: But if you want a quick relationship than it works out great!

The blurb about the Hormiguero basically says they went on the show and didn't want to miss out on a fun time with the host. They tried to speak Spanish, they did experiments and cooked their famous pasta.
